Kim Constantinesco did the bulk of her childhood reading with bed covers over her head and a flashlight in hand. Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat was a favorite and helped foster her love for adventure and exploration, especially on her snowboard. Currently she enjoys life in New York with fond memories of the Rocky Mountains. Solar the Polar is her first children's book.

JESSICA LINN EVANS, ILLUSTRATOR

Jessica Linn Evans is an author-illustrator whose illustrations are rendered with traditional media including watercolor, graphite, and ink. She is an elementary school art teacher, school librarian, and high school volleyball coach and now lives in the beautiful state of Idaho with her husband, Ed, her four delightful children, and a bunny named Bucky. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a BFA in Studio Arts. After many years in the role of Art Director/Graphic Designer, she moved forward full-time with her passion for illustrating and writing books for children, creating whimsical characters and settings, emphasizing the wonder of the natural world.
Jessica resides in Idaho with her husband Ed and four delightful children.
